The movement Greta started is known as #FridaysForFuture in reference to her decision to continue going on strike from school every Friday until the Swedish government takes action on climate change. She has risen to fame thanks to her pioneering climate change activism, inspiring 1.6 million (and growing) others around the world to do the same.
Greta lives with Asperger syndrome which she says helps her 'see things from outside the box' when it comes to climate change - that the disorder helps her see things in 'black and white'. She is a powerful speaker who cuts to the heart of the climate issue and relays what climate science is telling us... to reduce CO2 emissions now.
